With the Covid-19 vaccine a significant issue across the disability community, Inclusion Australia has partnered with the Australian Government Department of Health to run a webinar for people with an intellectual disability and families.

This free session will be run as a chat between Tara Elliffe, a self-advocate from New South Wales, and Professor Nick Lennox, a doctor who works with people with an intellectual disability and the Department of Health. They will talk about Tara’s recent experience getting her Covid jab, and will cover issues including:

  • worries that people with an intellectual disability have about getting vaccinated
  • why getting the vaccine is important
  • how and where to get the vaccine

The webinar is next Wednesday, 1 September

  • 10.30am (South Australia and Northern Territory)
  • 9am (Western Australia)
