Employment Advocacy for People with Disability

We are thrilled to announce that Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA) and Inclusion Australia have successfully secured funding to provide individual advocacy support for people with disability who work in supported employment.

Starting on July 1st, the Disability Employment Advocacy and Information Program will provide advocacy support and information to make sure people with disability have support to talk about their employment options. The program will allow people with disability to understand their rights at work and make their own decisions on their employment.

DANA and Inclusion Australia, along with our member organisations, will work closely to ensure that people with disability have access to the advocacy support they need to navigate their employment journey. Through this program, individuals will receive assistance in understanding their rights, exploring career pathways, and advocating for their needs within the supported employment context.

DANA and Inclusion Australia are committed to ensuring that every person with disability has the opportunity to voice their ambitions and make informed decisions about their work life. We believe that this program will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to take control of their employment futures and pursue fulfilling and meaningful work experiences.

We will provide further details on how members can apply for individual advocacy funding closer to the program’s commencement date. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting initiative.
