DANA’s Priorities Project

DANA warmly invites you to the launch of our Priorities Project report and findings. Join the DANA team and The Hon Bill Shorten MP to hear about the work of the Priorities Project and our recommendations for disability reform.

In 2023, the Disability Royal Commission and the NDIS Review handed down their final recommendations. With 248 total recommendations and 139 supporting actions, there are massive changes recommended that affect people with disability across many areas of their lives. The Priorities Project was to identify key priorities across both reforms and build a place to start making change happen, led by the disability sector.

Over the last five months, the DANA team have consulted with independent disability advocates, DANA members, Disability Representative Organisations and people with disability for the Priorities Project. Together, we have discussed the biggest advocacy priorities from the Disability Royal Commission and the NDIS Review, explored the potential of Foundational Supports, including the specific needs of states/territories and in rural/remote areas, and developed practical, implementable recommendations to kickstart disability reform.

Please join us to hear about the project, our Priorities, and our recommendations for change. DANA is delighted to have The Hon Bill Shorten MP, Minister for the NDIS, launching this project.
